Celebrate Small Business Saturday with us...

We are a small, family run stationery brand born from a belief in written correspondence, sustainable design, and tangible craftsmanship. I founded the business in 2010 and over time I gathered together an integral team, largely consisting of family members, that make it all possible.

Ruairi, my boyfriend joined me in 2015 and we’ve never looked back. We knew we wanted to work together but assumed it would be on a new, joint venture, but as KL was taking off and I needed more support, he was there. Has helped me to grow the business in ways I would not have envisaged. He is a constant sounding board and full of inspiring ideas. We now run the business alongside family life with 2 young children and, although more challenging than ever, more fulfilling that I could have dreamt.

This year, to celebrate Small Business Saturday we thought it would be a nice chance to keep you up to date with our story.

For those of you that have been following along with us for a while, thank you, your loyalty is unwavering and deeply appreciated. For those of you that are new, a very warm welcome.

Jonathan, also my uncle, hand prints our cards. He has a history in print and a keen eye for detail and precision which is prefect for such a role. He also provides the studio with the worlds best one liners that keep everyone entertained.

Jacky and Jo delight our studio on a part time basis to help on the packing tables, getting the cards, notebooks and gift wrap finished and packaged beautifully so it’s ready for our lovely customers. They are much valued team members, and integral cogs in the production line that help to keep things ticking along soothly.

Last but not least, is my mum. She dips in and out of roles, from childcare to printing and packing, and always, mentor. Together with these people, and many others we have worked with along the way, we have carved a little corner of the business world and made it our own. We’ve shown that with hard work, strong values, and a beautiful product you can compete on a global scale.

Rachel, my sister, is a force to be reckoned with, her memory and ability to multi task is second to none, at any one time she can tell you the status of an order, coordinate a whole studio’s assembly line all the while juggling kids, dogs and the rest of the team.

Elle manages all our lovely stockists, it’s these other small businesses around the country that form the backbone of our economy and are integral to communities and our society. Elle has a kind and gentle approach to sales, so she is perfect to manage our lovely independent stores and makes true connections with them all that we cherish. This ethos across the company, and our customer service is what stands Small Businesses apart, and for us, its integral at helping to maintain such relationships.

We believe in creating beautiful, original design, with tangible craftsmanship. Through sustainable processes, ethical trading and values at the very heart of the business. Born from a desire to sculpt my own path, make my craft my career and do what I loved, we have been successful in growing and nurturing a stationery brand that I am incredibly proud of.

But we would not be here without you, you make it all possible with every penny you spent supporting small businesses like ours, so thank you. Thank you so much.
