How to wrap a circular gift....
So, the first thing we’re going to teach you is how to wrap a circular gift…
Step 1: Cut your eco-friendly gift wrapping paper, and place it on a flat surface with the patterned side facing down. Better yet, use our double-sided papers so you dont get any blank paper showing.
Step 2. Stick one side to the object itself to keep it secure. Then, using double sided tape to avoid visible tape lines, apply to the other side and wrap over to secure as you would a normal shaped gift.
Step 3. Turn the gift over, so its top side up. Loosely scrunch the ends like a giant sweet wrapper. Be careful not to rip the paper, be gentle with it and ease it in slowly.
Step 4: Using decorative ribbons tie a bow securely around the scrunched paper. The bigger and bolder the ribbon the more of a statement you will make under the tree!
This method couldn't be simpler, it's an easy and effective way to wrap your circular gifts such as chocolates and biscuits in a sophisticated yet simple way!
How to wrap a cylindrical gift ...
So, now we will talk you through an equally simple method to wrap cylinders and bottles. A ever popular shape of gift at Christmas, and they don't need to entail any tricky wrapping or the need to buy a bag. Here's how to wrap a cylinder or bottle without fuss...
Step 1: Cut your paper, checking you have left sufficient space for the bottle to be securely covered with the wrap and leave an additional 16cm of wrap at the top.
Step 2. Measure the base of your bottle from the edge to the centre and ensure the bottle is positioned this far away from the edge of the paper when you roll and secure the paper. Use double sided tape to avoid any tape lines.
Step 3. Using a tight folding and pleating method, make your way around the base of the bottle to tuck all the paper into the centre. You can use a small spot of double sided tape to secure but as it will sit upright on its base, is not always necessary.
Step 4. At the other end (top) of the bottle make 2 simple folds to bring the paper to a blunt point.
Step 5. Then, creasing at the top of the bottle, fold the end over on itself, so it can stick right down onto the cylinder of the bottle’s body. Secure with a small piece of double sided tape and tie a ribbon around to decorate.
